    Default Affiliate program software?

Is there anyone out there that uses or can recommend a "pre-packaged" sort of affiliate program for a friend who is selling a product. Being an affiliate I never really thought of it from the other side as to how it works especially when an actual product is being sold.

Through research this one looked interesting

    Pricing - Affiliate Tracking Software

Also looking for companies that offer live phone or chat support for questions about the product, or is this something you have to train personnel yourself?

Not sure what exactly you want, but I've done some clickbank stuff, seems to work well. There is a few programs which give you a whitelabel type thing too. if thats what you are after, lemme dig thru my notes.

I could be wrong here but shareasale and more notably commission junction etc all operate affiliate programs on behalf of product sellers right? The side benefit being exposure to the base I guess and I've seen some tiny retailers on there but without more details tough to say.

Commission Junction seems to be what he needs. I kind of thought CJ for advertisers was just to get your product out there for affiliates but I guess not.

He has a product which he gets made in china, has it shipped in bulk over to the US and was first just selling it locally but when he went online with a website he started selling 30-40 products a day (1k profit) and only been online for 2 months and growing every week.

He's using a basic template for his site, and simply answers phone calls himself for support when needed, basically he can't keep up as it grew too fast. It's pretty funny actually.

He needs to get the support/employee's in place first but once he launches an affiliate program (he gets requests weekly from affiliates) he should do really well.

When he asked about how to start an affiliate program I was like yea thats easy....err, shit I don't even know. Pretty sad being an affiliate!

IIRC CJ.com product sellers have to have like xxx,xxx in sales before qualifying? I might be thinking of some other place. Jeremy has dealt a lot with this type of thing, most recently for AMEX, so I bet he can chime in here with an idea.

I don't know how things are on the merchant side of things, but I have been working with a merchant that use Post Affiliate Pro, and it is pretty solid.

I was just going to recommend Post Affiliate Pro actually. Other than a few custom ones, it's my favourite backend from an affiliate POV.

There are plenty of pre-packaged products out there that will work. Post affiliate pro is probably one of the better ones.

Now in terms of recruiting affiliates right out of the gate without having to do to much work; this is one of the benefits of joining a network like CJ, shareasale, pepperjam, or even the google affiliate network.

The only complaint I have about some of these networks like CJ is that you're limited to their backends. For example I want to be able to upload trackable video reviews and widgets on CJ......no dice. On the flip side though, just with banners and text links they do drive mass amounts of new affiliates and sales.

Hit me up if you wanna chat about it Roger. I actually be in Vegas at Affiliate Summit this weekend meeting with a few different networks
