    Default Pokerstars Question

Does anyone have a copy of the last email warning pokerstars sent out about use of domain names with the word pokerstars or marketing code?

    Using “PokerStars” within Domain Names

PokerStars does not permit its affiliates to use the term PokerStars or any of our trademarks (such as SundayMillion, EPT, LAPT, APPT, etc) in any domain used to send players to us. Any affiliate found doing so will be required to transfer the domain to us.

If you do own a domain containing any of our trademarks, please login to your registrar and unlock the domain which needs to be transferred. You should then send us the authorization code. We will then initiate the transfer and pay the transfer cost associated with this. Continued practice will cause the affiliate to be subject to termination and payments suspended. Please help us with this issue by either handing your domain/s over or reporting any such domains to us.

Carly - why not treat all affiliates fairly then?

This forum is unlikely to censor in your favor like the "other" one did.

Explain this being allowed? Especially while you knocked out and refused to pay other high producers doing the same thing but mysteriously allow this affiliate and a couple others to continue doing it.

    PokerStars Marketing Code > $50 FREE! <

I'd also like to note something:

I'd never out another affiliate for doing this, I'd take this oppurtunity and run with it myself in a heartbeat if I had the chance (I think we all would).

But, since I know you are aware of that domain I feel it's a real slap in the face to the intelligence of any affiliate with a brain, as PokerStars HAS gone after and shut down smaller affiliates while letting the big ones stay operating.

That is obviously not allowed. We will withhold payments for any such affiliates until they take the sites down. Most affiliates have been very helpful and complied immediately.

As for the censorship, I think the problem was when the person's name was given in the thread, and they understandably wanted this taken off.
