    We have Olark up at Fyves - really great so far. You connect through it with the pidgin software and it's an easy, non disruptive messenger on your pc. You can see what the users are browsing on your website and you can leave them a message ready and waiting for if they decide to open the online chat. I have had the subscription at providesupport also, it's cheaper and pretty good but I like olark and its non invasive online chat much much more. The boys at Hipmunk: Better Flight Search also use it which has got to count for something.

    Another two post recomendation PAL must be ranking for the term somewhere?

    I have been looking at Olark, it looks pretty sweet, easy to use. their own customer support using their tools is very good.

    I also was looking at LivePerson which seemed pretty decent especially for what I was looking at (Salesforce Integration)

    We have used SnapEngage, Zopim and Olark and been happy with all. Are you using a helpdesk service? If so, I would suggest you find one that integrates.

    SnapEngage and Zopim will work great with Zendesk, Olark with Assistly.

    I used this one before, but too many bells and whistles imo. I think it's overall better when a customer can just one-click chat instead of having to specify departments etc. It really depends on what you use it for. If you're running a site big enough then sure, use providesupport.
