    Default PPC- Ad words etc??

Hi guys your new super high volume poster here who wants to know everything all at once by the look of things.

I'm from England (if the flag never gave that away) and as such am allowed to advertise using Ad words. However you have to be registered with the Gaming Commision apparently.

Now I've contacted the gaming commision and they said that affilliates do not need any kind of licence and so I feel as if I am going round in circles.

Has anyone else managed to use Ad Words with their affiliate site and if so how did you over come this hurdle?

I have some experience in it, but not gambling ads though.

If anyone start this, be aware that it could get rather expensive, because you have to experiment a lot with the different ads. Very important to tune the ads all the time, at some point you find the winner :-)

Still trying to figure out, if I should give this a go also

ppc is very competitive. I've only dabbled and actually got my campaign shut down to violating googles TOS (wasn't promoting poker rooms though, just our poker dealing course).

Anyway, if you really want to learn about ppc, the gambling market is probably not the best place to cut your teeth. I've heard ppc-coach.com recommended but not tried it. some ppc ballers hang out at wickedfire.com but I really wouldn't go there and start posting more than 1 question in a new thread as a newb per day.

You do not need a license, but you site must only list the gambling sites that are whitelisted in the UK. Your site must also only target Uk Visitors.

Whitelisted? Forgive my ignorance but do you mean based here?

I know the PPC advert can only target UK players, but I don't see how a site can only target UK players, for example how could I stop someone from say Thailand looking at it? I'm not targeting Thailand but still get visits from there.

Here's an amazing idea.. ask Google about it. Something tells me they're highly qualified in answering questions about Adwords and their UK gambling policies.

I predict they will tell you all you need to know if you make the question clear enough, heck they may even know more than what affiliates who aren't advertising on Adwords know.
    Sort of ex-rakeback affiliate.

Easiest way would be to submit your application to google, then when they deny you they will tell you why, and you can make adjustments on your next application.

As for the white list , you can only use ppc to promote companies on it. This is a list of companies allowed to operate in the Uk. Do a search on uk gambling whitelist to get more info.
