Default When to dump a program due to lack of FTD's

Just want to hear others thoughts on this. When do you dump a program due to lack of conversions. Note: This is not for no deposit bonus links.

After sending 20 players and none converting, 50, 100 . What are your thoughts to pull the plug on someone.

Lenny, it depends on some factors.

First, the other rooms are converting fine?

This room with no conversions is known and trusted?

Compare your niche with the promotions and restrictions for this poker room - maybe you have something turning your potential customers away?

I assume you track hits from the backend, right? Or you mean 20 people clicked your link? Players register but do not deposit?

Another good option would be to contact your AM and talk to them.

It was just a general question for discussion, wanted to see what others thought on the,

Everything being equal, other rooms have good signups and conversions, but you have one room with all signups and no one deposits. Room is same as all others. Do you dump them and if so when, after how many signups and no conversions.

For myself , i set the bar at 100, if i send a room 100 signups and not get at least 1 deposit, something is wrong and it is not on my end.

Do ask the poker room about their CRM strategy? For me 100 sign ups is too long.

The key factor that determines the conversion rate, in the US market place specifically, is the sites ability to accept new players using credit cards, both Visa and Mastercard - talk to your AM regarding how they process new traffic, if they can't tell you get them to go and speak to their payment people and find out. It is very important you understand this.

The biggest challenge in the industry in the US facing market is how good you process Mastercard and Visa new traffic. Also Instant ACH Echecks are a must for good conversions, this is why you will find certain rooms convert much better than others.

I think the more affiliates are educated in this area the better they will understand where to send their traffic and make the most of it. Not beign able to take new players Mastercard and visa cards could be a 10-15% difference in a conversion rate from play to real money players. Add up how many sign ups you send, and then your conversion rate, and the revenue you earn per player - look at the wastage of those sign ups at rooms that will never ever convert them because they don't have the ability to take the players first payment method of choice.

Obviously there are a lot of other factors involved in ones choice of poker room - but the ability to have their credit card accepted would be right up there.
