Back in 2000-2003 there was a ton of money to be made in the adult affiliate industry. Now days though I can't see it even being possible to make good money on the adult side of the business. Quite frankly, I don't think there's a good fix to the situation either.

What do you guys think the future of the internet adult industry is for affiliates?

with the advent of sites like pornhub and redtube... i think you are going to have to go into some ultra freaky fetish niche to be able to offer something worth paying for nowadays. Full xxx video available 100% free does the trick for 98% of us (wild speculation guess there).

If I wasn't married, i'd just hook up with one of those Real Dolls and be done with it, lol. Cheaper than a wife/gf anyway. Now hmm, do they have an affiliate program? There is probably some $$ to be had in the adult toy market. I hear fleshlights are hot!

I think soon more porn affiliates will dabble in gambling and help this industry grow. The porn industry is having problems right now and it's directly due to tube sites. I actually don't watch tube sites because they get in the way of work but I have friend in that industry. A lot of main porn programs are starting to own their own tube sites and trying to find ways of getting back some of the income they have lost. It is really complex but there is still money to be made, just some of the bottom feeders are going to be shaken out and a few of the main programs will probably sink.

having dabbled in the porn industry for a bit, I gotta say Asian Fetish Porn is the best niche by far. Even with free videos out there, people will still pay for it.

The GFY board is ridiculous. I used to run a handful of adult affiliate sites (sex toy stores mostly) back in 2004. They were lucrative and I made money off of toy sales as well as aff. revenue from adult sites. I think at the time my top producing affiliate program was College F*** Fest and then a few different toy and DVD sites.

Even then I was making more off of toys than membership sites. I imagine if I were going to get back into adult, I would only go the toy route.

I had a pretty good system. I would sell toys on auction sites like Ebanned.net and even the restricted Ebay section. Then in the auction I would just link to my site......worked like a charm. For example I had a site called JennasCloset.com (appears to be re-registered now) but I would do auctions for all kinds of Jenna Jameson stuff and then drive the people already searching auction sites for Jenna stuff to my site.....

PPC for obscure terms also worked very well.

I also had one gay site, and listing Jeff Stryker gay DVD's linking to my portal was the top converter at the time.

Good times.....I should write a book on some of the crazy stuff I have done someday.
