I do agree that Google could be a better search engine but it's not an easy task (contrary to what you probably think).
This is what I'm trying to say. And yes, I do think it would take less effort than you think to produce a better engine.

fwiw i wasn't implying google was the first search engine. i started using the internet around circa '98 and was using search engines before the inception of the mammoth. my point was google's search engine brought search and essentially the information library which is the internet to the world. if that didn't happen, i don't think you can just assume another company would have achieved the same success, and that search would be as big as it is today, so for that, yes i am grateful.

And what qualifies you to say this? Your years of research and experience in search algorithms etc? Get real son. Sure Google have flaws and they're definitely not as innovative as they're given credit for, but when you're expecting them to hire someone to put up relevant pictures for the latest news you're either not knowing what you're speaking of or trolling.

    Hi,
    Yes, my year of XP.
I'm not talking about hiring one guy to make just the images more relevant, I'm talking about whole teams of SEO plus better algorithm. How can I troll my own thread? My reference to google news images was just a small example of how they abandon poor results while creating Facebook clones.
And I have worked for 3 of the biggest companies in one of the worlds most competitive terms "Poker". So I do have a little XP.
Google's search needs way more human updating and it can;t come from users because he users that will use this feature like Starred Results or plus one are webmasters who are biased. It has to come from them hiring actual people for now until algorithm is better.

But I'm not using the tone your using with me. Just simply stating if you can't see the flaws yourself. The fact that I can't program a spider does not mean I can't see flaws in a search engine. The fact that I can't code a social network does not mean I don't know anything about social media...

Google Customer service... Remember all the complaining about FTP customer service? Try emailing Google adwords/adsense and getting a response. Facebook ads is 1000% better than google.

I've come to realize many things and one of them being that Google and Microsoft is nothing special. The Google search engine seems antiquated and all Microsoft does is steal ideas. Google circles just seems like a site to legally spam people's email box,a cleaner version of Facebook, and another way to spy on people. I would take almost any member of Poker Affiliate Listings and give them access to Google's money and R and D and I guarantee they would come up with a better search engine and a better social network.

    Google Circles:

I would venture to say that Google / Microsoft / Apple are united and not at all at each others throats like they would like you to believe. In first paragraph, I did leave out Apple because I'm not really talking about hardware. Different ballgame entirely and Apple is much more innovative than these other companies.

So, I would like to say if I even had a 3 million dollar budget I would come up with something much more innovative than that Google Circles piece of crap. As far as search goes, Google suck IMO yet I'm forced to use it because that's what the masses use so I have to see how I rank for my sites. Google images blows too IMO.

This being said, I also think Google's punishing of sites is to stop small web business from making money and not at all to protect the integrity of the search. Go 10 pages into search and you can see it's all junk. Their algorithm leaves much to be desired and need much more human intervention.......

So, I would take almost any member of PAL and put them up against Google with only a small % of their operating budget.
Thought I would update this post since Aaron Wall's post on SEO Book : Spam? Affiliate is a 4 Letter Word | SEO Book.com

He really touches on Google's outright fascism and how they take every opportunity to F affiliates. Here is part of his comments below the article:
"Do I lose business by speaking out against the banking criminals? Probably, as there are a lot of ignorant people in the world. Do I care about losing that business? Not really. The people who still support the banking criminals at this point are not people I would want to help anyhow, and they generally lack the critical thinking skills found in our customers."

Many of you will disagree with me like you normally do but I don't really care. Most of you switch strategies really fast and adapt to Google and Laws that were tailored for them and other monopolies like the casinos monopolies. Good for you. 5% of you will double or triple your profits. 50% of you will just quit. And the other 45% will be happy making 25% of what you made before BF of whatever new law or algorithm.

What I wish everyone would do is come together and fight Caesars and fight Google and put them on the defensive! Then we would all multiply our profits by 1000%.
