BetOnline CPA commission Issue

This is a quick heads up for anyone thinking that Betonline is a good option to promote,as I foolishly did!

I was really excited about this poker room as it was so easy to promote. Works on Mac, takes US players, easy to get money on and off and the site is full of fish.

Because of this I decided to do a charity bankroll challenge here to help promote the site. I'd be making videos of the games I played as well as keeping a blog to show how weak the games are and why you should play and grind here. Anyway cut a long story short, yesterday, a few weeks into really promoting them I ask my AM to see how many people have joined up and how it's all going? I get a message back saying Betonline have decided that your player value is too low and so they are not going to pay you for the people you have sent over??!!! I'm sitting there thinking WTF?

I then get told that if each player now generates over $150 in rake then they will let me have my $100 in commission when it was meant to be a CPA for players just joining and depositing, talk about moving the goal posts and holding me to ransom!

Then my AM works out a deal where if I play and personally generate enough rake for all of the players ($150 per player) then I can get my commission (too kind to me).

By this point I'm about ready to explode as this has been my main focus for the last month. So I get hold of one player from my forum that I know has joined and asked him if he'd been playing much?

My forum member messages me on Skype to say that he's having trouble logging into his Betonline account as there is an issue with his password. He then said he's been messaging and emailing Betonline to get it sorted but to no avail. They have apparently told him that he needs to enter his social security number. When he informed them that he was from Portugal and did not have a 'social security number' he never heard back from them again.

That is just the one player that I personally know has joined the site, let alone the people that I don't know about, so their incompetence getting people to be able to grind results in me not getting paid??!! Awesome job guys!

Finally I offered an additional incentive for players to join Betonline that was a free coaching pack. They get some of my best training videos and then after 300 games they get a 1-1 session with me. The reason there was a session after 300 games was to clearly keep people playing there but Betonline said because of that incentive too they are not paying me.

All in all they have given the traffic a couple of weeks to decide I'm not getting paid (unless I grind out a ton of rake personally, over and above the CPA payment), they have been rubbish with the one player I know of in terms of getting him live (god knows how many others), they moved the goal posts without talking to me, essentially pulling the rug from under me, and I think they are just out to scam as much money from affiliates as possible.

Be very cautious dealing with these scamming cowboys!!!

I don´t promote them, but man that dosen´t sound good. And worst thing is that there is really not much that you can do about it.

In all seriousness though, hopefully this is addressed and fixed for you. That sounds absolutely absurd the unlock requirements for your CPA's, especially with everything you did to promote their brand and giving up your own time to help coach people as a "thank you" for signing up at BetOnline through your links.

Yeah that sounds insane. I have seen all the work you put into your site Tag and i really love how you interact with you players.

I know for me when i asked about promoting for them. I asked for the best possible rev share deal. I was told I could get a 35% rev share only if i sent more then 40 depositors a month.

40 is no problem - but when compared to other sites who do not have this condition I decided to hold off and see how things were going for others, since i also saw AK having issues with sub affiliates and various other issues.

Hoping things improve for you man.

Thanks for the support guys but I'm really feeling so dejected right now.

I've put in so much work over the last few weeks to promote a poker room in a 'non standard' way (i.e just a static site review), really pushed the boat out to make sure good quality, revenue generating players land on the site, just to get kicked in the teeth.

The thing that's really making me sad is now things are really gathering traction, I have a few players all signing up and depositing in the last couple of days, now for what?

I'd happily switch to rev share if Betonline thinks that my players have no value, no problem at all as long as my player account is rev share also.

This whole thing stinks but what's worse is that the way I've marketed it, I have left myself no outs, I'll look like a cock if I suddenly say they are shaddy thieves but I may not have a choice if something isn't resolved.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but why are you asking the AM how many players have joined? Was tracking an issue/concern at all?

My account was set up through PAS so I have no way of tracking who has signed up yet as they haven't enabled that in the PAS back end. So I just asked my PAS AM to see how things are going (he's a really helpful guy by the way so this is no slur on him or PAS) and that's when this whole thing kicked off.
