Default What ID Does Moneybookers Accept To Verify Account?

I've got myself in a bit of a mess and don't know what to do. I had a client send me some MB funds today. I wasn't expecting them to send me MB but as it turned out my MB email address is the same as my PP so I got the funds (or at least I received them in my MB account). The actual problem is that because I haven't used MB in years I am required to send them photo identification to verify the account and retrieve my password but to do that you have to send them your identity card, passport or driving licence with a photo. Easy enough but I don't have any of these cards. I have an expired drivers license which they will not accept, and I don't have an identity card/passport so long story short I don't think I can verify the account and the money will remain stuck in my account. Does anyone know if they accept any other forms of photo identification to get an account verified? It doesn't make a great deal of sense to buy valid photo ID just to verify the account when its such a small amount the client sent me so I am really hoping they accept other types of photo ID.

Yeah MB is really strict like this. I had similar things happen to people I have sent money too. Unless they get photo ID they will not release anything cause its happen to a couple of people i know.

I think what you can do is have the sender file a ticket indicating they sent the money incorrectly. You would then verify and they will reverse it. I am not sure if there is a time frame - but they can reverse of it the client agrees to it and you confirm you want them to reverse it. It may take a couple of days at least though.

But at least you can have them re send using PP.

Without current photo govt ID they wont budge - at least up to about 6 months ago.

The buyer resent using PP but I just feel bad about the situation. So unless its official govt ID they won't accept it? Damn. I might have to try getting him to reverse the transfer to see if that works. Thanks.

    Hey PokerAussie

Jump down to the RTA and get something organised... You can get the RTA ID card pretty easily if u dont have a Drivers License or Passport:

What is the NSW Photo Card?

Get a passport just so I can withdraw a negligible amount from a MB account that I never use. Makes sense.

Anyway, thanks guys for confirming my thoughts.

There are other benefits to having a passport. Like being able to leave the country!

Do you have a good looking sister?

I was considering traveling to Asia anyway but doesn't hurt to have an incentive
