I want to become a full time affiliate some day. What is your profit margin on your poker affiliate business? This question is about poker affiliation only and not about other areas such as e-commerce etc etc. Is there a normal range?
Thanks guys!

Depends on how much of the work you do by yourself and how much you want to spend/reinvest.
You can promote poker rooms in forums. The first real player will give you an indefinte profit margin, as you spent 0$.
You can invest plenty of money the wrong way, which can lead to -200+% profit margin.
Costs of running such a business can be pretty low for smaller affiliates (webhosting 5$/month + domain 10$/year). The key is to keep your costs low in the beginning if you don't aim to become a super-affiliate within 12 months, and then grow organically by reinvesting some of the profits.
"The harder I work, the luckier I get."
This is going to be all over the place from negative numbers to 1000% and above.
Note that it depends how much you value your time. Let's say for example sake it is $20/hour. You work 10 hours a day 25 days a month, that is 250 hours or $5,000/month or $60k/year. Whatever your number, this is going to be the major cost in running an affiliate site (unless you hire). Fixed costs should be small unless you buy tons of links. But let's try to find an average example such as $60k+$10k=$70k/year. Take it from there, if you are not making $70k/year as an affiliate, then you are losing money.
