True. If you're someone who has trouble on the bubble it might be something to consider. The other players at the table aren't in the money and many/most will be playing tight while you're already guaranteed a payout. It could give you extra courage to make the correct moves that you should be making on the bubble when the table tightens up.

Skilled players want to be doing the same thing at the same time as less skilled players,making it possible therefore to use their skill, so skilled players would never want their own bubble to be before the rest of the players bubble.
It's pure Spinal Tap. It just moves your personal bubble earlier, which is good for terrible players (if only because they are less likely to last), but bad for good players.
The idea is opposite casino deals, where you deal when it is EV+ to deal. Buying insurance will always be partly wasteful if only because your "insurance" will sometimes kick in when you don't need it (when you are the chip leader).
