    Default Avereage new signups per??

Hey i'm new to this forum and affiliate marketing. I have been creating websites for years but I have never touched anything to do with affiliate marketing. Now I find myself trying to explore many opportunities available (so any suggestions are welcome).

My question is, what is your average signup per week or per month, something that I can start to look at as a target goal I can set.

Depends on your traffic, quality of content, and relevance of your content plus some more factors like bonus offers branding and such.

TjayG - what the gents here are trying to say (with various levels of sarcasm) is that the question you have asked is so not well defined.

For example - I promote one program that has managed 110 signups so far this month and 35 of those players have deposited. Another program I just started promoting has managed zero signups.

But there are a huge number of things that go into getting a singup, ranging from visitor numbers, traffic sources, quality of program, interest level of site content, and the headline joining bonus.

In all - I promote around 20 programs offering sports, casino, poker and their numbers range between 0 and 110 with the mid-point being around 15 depositors per month.

You might think that the number 15 helps you - but in a months time when you look at this thread - you will realise exactly how little it actually tells you about what you might expect for YOUR websites for the specific programs YOU promote.

If I can bring this example back into the real world - it's like walking into a random shop in a random mall somewhere in America and asking "How many things do YOU sell?" and expecting that number to have any relevance to the new shop that you are planning to open soon ... but somewhere else.

Nice answer Gooner - I think that pretty much sums it all up.

As you say, it's hard to put an exact number on what's 'good' or not ... having said that I know that when I started I wanted some kind of yard stick to measure something by so I settled on a 3% conversion rate (that's to say 3% of all the clicks I send a program turn into a depositing player). Anything over 3% was 'good' and anything under wasn't.

Obviously things change as you get into affiliate marketing, but as a newcomer to it all that might help you to gauge how a particular program is performing for you.

In the future TJayG when you have a question like this it's better to start a poll. Then you can look at the data plus it keeps everyone's answers anonymous.
