Forum Promotion / Prize Ideas?

Hey guys,

I have been speaking with one of the other forums in the industry and we are considering doing a co-promotion of some sort. As you would expect, we will be giving stuff away. What we're looking for are some ideas on what type of promo or contest you'd like to see as well as any ideas for prizes that would help a webmaster in their daily grind.

We could do a freeroll, but ideally I'd like to do something else. Anyhow share your ideas or thoughts and we'll make it happen!

Depends what your budget is. Can't go wrong with iPads, as every single contest for the last 3 years will show. On the upper end maybe a WSOP side event package.

a few things come to mind

Ipad or a laptop ?
premium text/banner slot for a week or a month ?
x amount of hours of 1 on 1 seo tutoring ?
maybe added % for 3 months of a program ?

for USA peep maybe a weekend in mertle beach with 2 rounds of golf for 2!

Article contest would be neat and perhaps the most valuable to potential future contributing forum members. Could come up with a contest that helps pay for itself for years. Make it something like best advice for start up affiliates and have different categories + allow comments. Not sure the logistics but a contest that also helped increased membership base and traffic seems like a good idea.

Links would be the most popular prizes behind only cash (perhaps ahead depending on the link).

I can say personally that it's the only thing likely to motivate me to participate in any promotion. The rest of the stuff in thread is fine (and totally quality ideas) but it's not anything that's unique or out of reach for most affiliates.
