Somehow Beanie was automaticallly there, but how do I start adding other people outside of going through emails?

beanie is the twitter version of Myspace's Tom. I guess you could see who is following beanie and see if you recognize any names.

Man, old bumpage.....I've now setup several "company accounts" in addition to my personal "MichaelJMurphy" but my overall impression is it's really tough to do anything valuable there without borderline spam.

Where I think it's great is in breaking news, I remember back when Mumbai attacks were happening search.twitter.com was the fastest and most updated news source to get updates from.....same with the plane crash in the Hudson recently.

If you are following other people, simple engage in the conversation and answer questions they may have or comment on things they may have tweeted. You can post links to interesting articles. There's plenty of ways to get involved in Twitter without it being spammy.
