Need Advise - Lost domain because of expiration

I have accidentally forgotten to renew a TLD which wasn't developed. Nevertheless, it very important that we get this domain back in our possession, but the company (probably a domain broker, as they own 60K more domains) doesn't respond to our e-mail.

What can I do to get it back?

I could've sworn that a domain typically isn't made avaialble to another buyer for around 30 days after expiration (i.e. you'd have that time to snag it back up)

Not sure what you can do if they aren't responding to your emails or calls though. Perhaps register it through another seller if possible? Not sure as I haven't allowed any of mine to expire before.

I dont know what you can do to get it back, but i recommend using auto renew in the future

When did it drop? What's the extension?.

Not sure if this applies to all TLD drops...but drops often go into an auction system and go up for auction on a set number of days after the drop date. If that's happened with yours, you may be able to get it back for a reasonable fee.

Try justdropped.com (there are a number of alternatives)...never used it myself but looks like a good search facility on it.

Other than that try a post on one of the dedicated domainer forums...dnforum.com or namepros.com

REdemption period is 30 days or 45 days pending on the registrar. Lemme know where your domain is reg'd and I'll get you the contact info as I've dealt with quite a few companies on matters such as that. They usually want a larger fee for renewing though. For example, last time this happened with Godaddy, they wanted $60 to renew because it was in redemption.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS INFO!!! I found out that I could renew for 30-45 days it while it still is in redemption. It cost me another $99.99 extra - but what the heck! That's all worth it.

yes take a long time to actual losing the domain, its just a pitty one has to pay always something more 99.99 its a normal price i think i was in that spot not many days ago.
