    Default What would help Merge

Reading MJ's post about things that would help Merge get over that everlasting hump, prompted me to create this post. I don't think adding Doyle's room will cut it. Yes they have an established player base, but if Doyle's players wanted to play on that site, they would have been already and with the amount of low traffic it just doesn't seem like the best fit.

So my thoughts on problems that Merge has.

Freerolls - Way to many freerolls and it's great that Merge wants to reward their players but when it takes very little effort to accumulate the comp points required to get into the daily $1K or monthly $50K than what is there to look forward to.

In total the room puts out $7K in daily game for comp players, $3500 for new depositor, Im guessing 7500/wk in dew player $50 games, plus the weekend $10K & $2K, and add the monthly $50K. So roughly over 150K / month in freeroll money excluding the guarantees and the # of overlays there which happen often

Cut out 40% of that cash flow and stick it into seats for live events and higher GP's, freezeouts. One per week and allow satellites and qualifiers but with a smaller buyin than say FT would do it, giving the players a reason to choose Merge over them and allowing the company to make back some of what they are spending. As it is right now that freeroll money is basically a cost IMO. Advertise on the bigger networks, and when you add in the affiliates who would push "Play at Merge because you actually have a chance at winning" and you can attract some new players. I think it would be awesome if they started sending players to live events with one seat per week

Switch the guarnatees a bit. I love the new addition to the tournamnet lobby where it tells you games which are going to run with overlays but I think for the most part the buyin/prize pool could be adjusted a bit. Why would a player pay a higher buyin for a lower guaranteed when they can go elsewhere and get into another event and see a better return. An example is the $2250 GP running in the evenings, unless this has been changed I believe its a $100 buyin which is just sily IMO.

Multitabling needs to be added..the tabs are a pain to use.

    Anyone else

Echo what you said Kaus, Merge is a very nice room with good bonuses and excellent software, they need to invest some of that money elsewhere and away from all the freerolls.

As affiliates we KNOW that players looking for freerolls are generally low value players, I don't understand how a poker room doesn't understand that

Completely agree with you guys. One correct though Kaus, if you go to settings and select new window, it opens the tables just like all other poker rooms.

I have been in contact with Merge on some of these issues as well. I also have a lot more on the list which most they are already in the process of changing which is great to hear. These guys are great at what they do, and never back down from a challenge no matter what I ask them for.

Image is attached for you Kaus.

I have Merge's ear, so anything you suggest I will bring to them.

I told MJ that the hand history option is a pain. Unless a player knows they have to opt in to have their hand history files saved, they will be deleted upon logging out of the client. Things like this which are standard should be set to default and allow the player to choose from there. Also having the hand history open in a browser is a little annoying,

and thanks for the multi-table tips guys

Best suggestion is to make default the new table window popping up, I believe anyone playing over 2 tables for sure will 100% want this option to track action on multiple tables.

I know I was really glad once I found it.

I bet Trikkur has some killer suggestions to.

    About aced outs.

To receive the points for an Out, all you have to do is log in to the player admin and submit the Hand ID for which the Out was achieved.
I dont think a player should have to do this manually. If you get any of these "outs" you should be rewarded without having to keep track of what outs reward you.

While I agree, its something that can't be done

Since we don't control the software developement, we can't make changes inside of it like that.

However, we are adding a function in the client that will be a button on the bottom of the lobby (currently where it says forum) that will be a pop up with the Outs list and the ability to submit it right there. So you can have it up while playing.
