MGM is definitly one of the nicest affordable hotels. I also like Bally's for location(mid-strip) and the rooms are failry decent. Venetian = nicest rooms in vegas though.

I paid for an extra night for both of first two reservations so I can go play a tournament that morning and change rooms whenever is convenient.

I was kind of on fence if I wanted to stay downtown or strip for the final week, finally decided on Downtown.

I actually forgot all about this until now. I'll be there the 29th to like the 2nd or 3rd. Gotta go rip up the no limit games at the Rio for a few days. And those are some kick ass deals at those sites you linked to Brandon. $49 per night at MGM during the week? That's basically free.
