No, you need to have a PR higher than PR3.14159265 to make money.

I have a site thats getting about the same amount of traffic. I had the standard banners/reviews on it and I thought that I could squeeze more revenue out of it so I totally re-thought my marketing practices. After implementing some new ideas the site immediately started bringing in twice the number of players daily.

You should look at your traffic logs and come up with a game plan. Another thing that has helped me is to take full advantage of the promotions your players receive, especially exclusive promos. Just sit back and think of some marketing ideas. If one doesn't work just try something else.

I imagine most visitors to your site are looking for videos. If that's the case, I wouldn't think you'd get much for conversions.

If we are talking about pokermasters.tv, how can you EXPECT any conversions? Very nice site, but all you have is one pokerstars banner and a poker affiliate banner (wtf?) on the index. Nothing on internal video pages or your forum. You really need to look at your monetization priorities. Your site is not built to convert. You do not have a single external link on any of your pages except the home page.

It looks to me like you are not trying to make any money off the site, which is not a bad thing to build credibility and critical mass, but if you plan on making money, you are not going to do that the way the site is currently configured.

Edit: ...and yeah, what CoolDog said. Video sites are going to convert like crap in general.

I suppose I should have looked at the site. This isn't marketing related but your homepage title tag is: pokermasters.tv and the title on your main video page is: Videos | pokermasters.tv. You should fix those as soon as humanly possible.

Poker video traffic may convert like crap but you have a lot of marketing options imo.

yeah agree with cooldog, people are at your site to watch videos, you wont get many conversions (not as many as an average review/content site anyway)

I see what you mean, but the links to the left are affliate links & they are on the internal video pages. I need to get a better platform, it's a turnkey
site & I have NO options to ad banners on my internal pages & forum.

Anyone know of a better video platform I can transfer my domain to?

Perhaps the more interesting question is something like... players per 1000 visitors.

And also, how much per player (since if one site gets ten crappy players per 1000 visitors, but another gets two great players per 1000, the latter is likely much better off).

This then can help webmasters think in terms of "how much traffic do I have to have to make (what I consider) 'real money'"?

And... "if X players per thousand is the norm for PAL webmasters, why am I doing some much worse (or better) per 1000?"
