Where to send "WSOP Satellite" traffic

So I have a page ranking pretty well for WSOP satellite related terms, and I'm spending most of today trying to figure out how to max conversions for it.

When sending players to Pokerstars, do you think I should be sending them to their WSOP page, or their home page?

Also, any thoughts about maximizing conversions out of WSOP traffic is welcome.

I personally would try to call action to more than one poker room, to captilize on the throngs of players who already have existing accounts at Stars/FT.

My first thoughts were to have detailed comparisons of the top WSOP satellites rooms (a table might go down well) with honest opinions on which rooms you think is best to play at when it comes to getting a seat. I think a important question players will be asking is "which room am I most likely to qualify for the WSOP through?". If you answer that well I imagine conversions will follow quite easily.

I like the way you have the page at the moment. I think choosing between the WSOP and homepage link for PokerStars isn't really a big deal. Players looking for more information on the WSOP at the specific poker room will easily be able to find what they are looking for seeing as it is linked quite clearly from both homepages at FT and PS. I'd lean toward the standard homepage links myself.

I definitely think that you should send them to the WSOP page. I mean, that is what they are looking for? Why not give them exactly what they are looking for? Also, I like the idea of having a comparison type deal. However, if you are trying specifically to convert with Pokerstars, then that idea is out the window anyways. For sure the WSOP page is my vote.

Maybe I could split the page into a top section like "Poker Sites Awarding the Most Seats" and then a section below like "Best Bang for Your Buck - WSOP Satellites at Smaller Poker Sites" and highlight some smaller rooms.

As for the original question, I would be sending traffic to Pokerstars' WSOP page 100% if there was a better call to action. As it is now, it's more of an information page.

For the time being, I am sending players to the WSOP page and will see how my rsults are with that for the next week or so. I really need to set up an A/B split test. Tomorrow I will learn how to use Google Website Optimizer.

i would send them directly to the wsop page... these guys are looking for this specific information... they are looking to compare their options.

This would make me want to have a clear bonus code / marketing code displayed AND if you really want to go balls out, write up a free 'how to win a satellite tournament guide' and offer it for free to anyone who signs up for a poker room through your link.

Ok, thats a really good idea... I'll see yall in the serps for those phrases soon (ok, maybe next year but i'll see ya there, lol)

I would definitely send them to the WSOP page as that is what they are looking for. Most rooms will have a download opportunity on that page.

SunPoker has a WSOP satellite page that you can link to with your tracker.

This isn't quite on topic, but it has some relevance. If I were to build an app that would let you start up the poker room and land your player in the client at any given page/ tournament/ table from a URL would it be something that you would use / embrace and promote?

I think it would be great for guys who have regular users or a community/ forum where users come back to the site for tournaments, and leaderboards etc - I can't really find any use as an acquisition tool tho.
Just trying to gauge your thoughts on this...
