Do US-based affiliates have any problem marketing sites that don't take US players? Do some of them not accept US affiliates, or do you have difficulty getting paid?

I do most of my promoting to non US rooms, I get paid in wires generally without hassle.

There are a lot of US based affiliates who do really well promoting brands that don't take Americans. Really it comes down to where your traffic is from and how well you entice those visitors to become players at the rooms you list. There are many reputable brands who are very good at getting their US affiliates paid. No worries there.
An interesting fact in retrospect is some of the top, if not the top affiliate for converting US traffic is based in the UK. Likewise the largest EU producer (traffic demographic) is based on the East Coast US. It's all about the SEO man!

You have to go after everyone is how I see it. Although payments are a bitch it is doable.
So it's payment by wire for the most part?
I tried opening an overseas bank account recently, which would presumably help with payments, but it's not trivially easy in the place I tried.
I just don't see that as necassary myself, but I'm not pulling out a lot of five figure wires either.
