Yea, I've asked J about this and posted in the bug/suggestion forum - so I agree!
The absolute worst thing to do with a forum is force login, imo - bring it back one time J!

Afraid to have your browser remember your PAL password?

No, and we also have to re-login when viewing a thread at CAL.

Get in the habit of logging in before you start looking around. That's what I do anyway.

That's because of a cookie, the "Remember Me" checkbox does it.
Sort of ex-rakeback affiliate.
Not clicking remember me is essentially pointless, although a lot of people are semi-reluctant to check it often through a misconception of what it actually does. Unless you are in the habit of walking away from your computer in an open office environment mid session without logging off of your vbulletin sites there is no reason not to use it. Remember me only keeps a session log-in active, it doesnt remember your details if/when you log off.
Without remember me being clicked you're in danger of starting something on a vbulletin forum, and then when you come to send it/submit it the session being expired. Which naturally would be annoying.
Moral of Story: Dont fear the little old remember me![]()
Hold'em - like life itself - has its defining moment. It's the flop. When you see the flop, you're looking at 71 percent of your hand, and the cost is only a single round of betting
Jeremy explained why he did this on the last radio show. Makes sense to me, and shouldn't be an issue. If you don't want people to know you are reading, change it so you are invisible.
As someone that runs a forum I think this is actually a good idea. Why can't you login? If you are worried about security, set your forum password to something you use nowhere else and have your browser remember the details. If you are worried about people seeing you logged in, you can surf anonomously using invisible mode.
