    Default Poker/Casino Affiliate Earnings Study

I came across this tonight while surfing some of the industry sites. It seems pretty interesting, and probably motivating for a newer affiliate wanting to break into the industry full or part time.

    Wow,

"Less than a quarter of affiliates have been active for more than five years (22%), the study showed, while an amazing 17% of affiliates have been operating for less than a year."

That means many of us are giving up! Come on guys, don't get discouraged!!!

7% over 1.2 million or whatever, is completely absurd. There are affiliates who do that much business, but if you assume 100k affiliates total, that would be 7000 doing that much. No way is it over 1000, and I would think it is quite a bit less than that.

Except for that though, it seems like a reasonable article. Their methodology is unknown though, so perhaps the problem is they discarded the huge mass of affiliates who make under $500 a year.

Very good article to read, especially since I'm just finally sitting down and building my own network after about a year. I wonder if those stats are accuarte though?

I agree with 321 that it is probably pretty accurate except the top number. However it is based on a small sample size of only 475 so the extremes are easy to skew.
