Default New Poker Room - What are the things that you will look into it to promote it?

    Hello Everyone,

There is a Poker Room/Casino Operation that is being launch maybe once a month.

What are the features/benefits that you will check before considering to add this property to your website?

Also, will you either consider it to add a brand new property on your website.

I have heard from some casino affiliates who are not interested to add more properties as they dont want their players to go from one place to the other one. Specially if the players are generating commissions for them with specific casinos.

    Cheers,

Main thing I look for is that they do something different (that is good).

Something unique I agree also a decent deposit bonus with a fair release requirement.
US or non US is a factor and to be honest what they pay affiliates has to be a factor.

Here's my list in no particular order...

    Player and affiliate friendly T&C's
    Without those, nothing else matters!

    A hook
Something unique to offer that no one else is doing.

    Professional management
A management and affiliate team that is responsive and willing to work with me.

    Presentation
A website design that looks professional and will help convert.

    Variety of creatives
A willingness to custom create artwork and banners in a timely manner

    Commission
A decent commission rate that is not eaten up by fees and deductions.

Just as important, what turns me off promoting a new room... I'm not interested in adding yet another Cake or Merge clone site to my portfolio.

Look at Poker Liberation as an example of a truly "new" poker room. New room, new network, thinking outside the box, listening to us affiliates and actually taking our advice... this is a refreshing change and gives me reason to gamble on them.

Will they make it? I don't know, but, I will give them some exposure and hope for the best.

If that operator is multi product cross-selling between products is a must. Should my player sign up through poker and then generate revenue on their casino i would expect to be granted commissions on that as well.

The different offering is a key point here.
And don't forget that the positioning of the poker rooms can be very different even within a network!

New sites must be able to demonstrate liquidity - There's no point signing up on 80% rakeback if the biggest game you can find is .5/1 and you're playing against a full table of props and 2+2ers.

I am pretty evil on the "old" Tony G site - but they did manage to get a really good mix of players at different levels on diff. games - the dealers choice games were amazing - so offering something that stands them apart from the mainstream.

Having said that there is no point promoting a site which will transition in 12 months to a new site and take all your players with them - lost count of those.

Most recent example is Chan to Aced - still waiting for the explanation of why that change needed to happen and what happned to players on Chan who no longer earn on Aced?

Add another factor - a commitment to longevity - lifetime earnings aren't worth sh*t when they sell to another poker room!

A very wise person told me when I got in to this to only promote the top 3 poker sites - I though he was insane as surely everyone already had those sites and I wouldn't find new players for them - how wrong I was.

Nice website and domain btw Geoff - interesting to note not a single aff. poker site or program is pushed on the homepage.

    Hello,

Thank you for your feedbacks. Keep them coming.

Your comment "Add another factor - a commitment to longevity - lifetime earnings aren't worth sh*t when they sell to another poker room!"

I am sure that this is another concern for affiliates these days by referring their traffic to a place that migth not stay around or maybe become another company with different terms.

It reflects very poorly on your own site when you pump one up and they fold - everytime it happens your take a credibility hit.

    New sites don't get a look-in ... EVER.

Too many sites fail to deliver, and as a portal it's my responsibility to only list and recommend sites that will last the distance. As we help our players with any disputes or service issues it makes sense for us only to deal with the BEST.

As such I find it pragmatic not to be an EARLY adopter of new sites - no matter what they hype, so matter what they're selling, no matter what they offer.

After 12-24 months of successful operation then I'll take a closer look at them, check on feedback from players, and feedback from affiliates and review their terms.
