Echeck Issue May Cost Us Dearly....

Well, I think this whole ECHECKS and checks issue at Full Tilt is starting to become a HUGE problem for us affiliates...

Here is the problem:

Over the last few days, I have noticed many of my larger players not playing. I am wondering if 1 of 2 things is happening...

1) Player tries to cash out. Player has problem. Player says "screw this". Player leaves to another site. Player is lost.

2) Player tries to cash out. Player has problem. Player "googles" issue. Player comes across 2+2. Player reads forums. Player "discovers" rakeback. Player switches to another account under a friend/relative/etc... Player is lost.


Wondering what the total impact will be...any thoughts?

I'll give you my thoughts:

1. getting players who only play at stars and ft to leave is oppurtunity, try to see it that way - a new flood of US players looking to go to maybe Aced, Doyles, PowerPoker, Minted, whatever!

2. just start giving players rakeback at the main sites that offer it, problem solved.

I do agree though that this is scary stuff, I'm glad I've been targeting the globe rather than the US, interesting stuff - although I still suspect we'll just see a new processor in a week or so.

Edit to add - now would be a GREAT time for anyone with large opt in mailing lists of US players to send out a blast, these things should be done only at certain times and I'd say this is one of them.

iv been speaking to several people who said they won't be depositing until the issue is fixed
