I've been catching people left and right taking down my exchanges, while I left there link up. I was never told, informed, etc that mine would be removed. Some are well known affiliates here at PAL, and worse.

In case you're one of those affiliates that don't make a dime, why not play some free poker on my website PokerForFree.org. I am always on the hunt for new members, and if you contact me and mention PAL, I'll be more than happy to increase your initial bankroll a bit
I recently had to take a bunch down because my links were no longer up... Sometimes I forget whose sites they are to contact them, and sometimes the owner of the site has sold it and the new owner has taken them down...

I keep a word file and check them once a month personally, ESPECIALLY if I notice the site sold.

How can it be worse? lol Also, you never know if there person is like me and routinely blows sites up and has to revert to backups, could have been a post back exchange or something. Some are well known affiliates here at PAL, and worse
sites gets sold, sites get screwed up (by incompetent webmasters messing with code when they dont know what they are doing)sites gets redesigned.
Im not good at keeping stats for exchanges, and dont check if my link gets removed, but then again i dont do much exchanging.
If someone from PAL has removed your link, then just contact them its proberly a human error.
The darkest hour is just before dawn
It can be worse, trust me.
Also - it's not my problem if someone blows their sites up, or decided to sell them, is it? It's not that hard to check your backlinks and see who's linking to you, when you aren't returning the favor is it?
I could certainly use that excuse and trade for hundreds of links, then remove them all and say "oops, I screwed up" and enjoy the benefits of all the free links, but I don't as I do honest business.
In any event, most of these cases I've found in the last couple weeks are flat out blatant. Either mine was the only link removed on the page, while everything else stayed the same - or the whole damn directory was removed outright, and not even in the sitemap anymore.
I'm not making this post because I found one or two links down, but instead more than TEN. Ten is signficant to me, as I've probably traded 20 total links, lifetime. Not that it's the end of the world, but it still pisses me off.

I don't know it might have been me for all I know that you are talking about. Let me know and I would add anyone back for quality link exchanges.
I had to remove at least 20 exchanges due to the site either being extinct or gone. If its a 3 way exchange I may have made a mistake in removal. I can add note of 3 way link exchanges now.
I don't think we've made a trade Mack, and I wouldn't get into the personal side of calling people out in this thread anyways.
Just a warning to newer affiliates who are run over a bit easier in this business, to take notes and check a few times a year - if nothing else just to remove the ones who removed you and stop giving away free links that aren't reciprocated.
I'm off now, my office today is on the lake.

Well we were overdue for a quality MJ rant anyway
