    Default Revshare vs CPA

I signed up under full tilts affiliate program and signed up under revshare. i have a ton of active players who have paid small ammounts of rake and dont play alot. Im kinda guessing i would have made more with CPA but am not sure. What do others think are best? I contacted full tilt and they said i cant change to CPA now.

Rev Share on good sites / sites with casinos or BJ / if you are offering rakeback
CPA on questionable sites / sites that offer rakeback on their site or the network and you aren't promoting it / sites on a network in general

I read Dealer Dan's article on this subject when I started and it has always stuck with me. I started on MGR everywhere and have liked it. I recently have been testing some CPA offers, but I've not used it enough to know how they compare yet.

I would be interested in discussing his statement that AMs will force MGR on an affiliate if their players aren't earning enough for a CPA. If this is true (which I believe it most likely is) I agree MGR seems like the only option.

I still think we should cumulatively try to figure out what MGR would = CPA at x rooms on base rates.

This is the best advice on the subject. If a room takes US Players and/or has a Casino with a joint wallet then always take the revenue share deal.

It really comes down to player value and the CPA that is on offer.

If you have a good CPA being offered to you of $150+ and your player value can support it then it can sometimes be very hard to justify taking the risks associated with MGR, the risks being the player not generating enough MGR to match the CPA, player moving to rakeback, player moving rooms, losing your MGR player base as a result of leglislation (look at the impact on Party Poker affiliates after the US withdrawal).

Also the notion of "lifetime" players and MGR earnings is completely false - there are very few rooms that will retain the loyalty of players for a long period of time and those rooms are rooms like pokerstars, fulltilt and in the old days Party Poker.

Pokerstars - I would take MGR in an instance if I could get it, Fulltilt - I get a high CPA from them so it is not really beneficial to go with MGR for me especially with the fees. Pretty much all other rooms except Bodog I work on a CPA or fixed advertising model.
