    Default Eurolinx, BetonBet, LinxGaming Closed

Finally the ship sunk, I'm still missing a couple payments even though they did recently make one.

    Got this in my inbox:

"ISLE OF MAN - Microgaming announced today that it has terminated its software licence agreements with the Linx Media Group, with immediate effect. It has been advised that the group Companies are insolvent.
Microgaming is presently gathering all facts relating to this matter and will provide further announcements as and when information becomes available.
Microgaming recommends that any Eurolinx, BetOnBet and Linx Casino players affected by this situation submit their enquiries directly to the relevant liquidator as soon as contact details become available."

I had a link but it seems to be redirected now, not sure what's up with that.

Anyways, thanks a lot assholes - I only sent you HALF A MILLION in deposits.

That said I knew the risk in promoting a skin like that heavily, and I accept it for what it is since I profited handsomely from it.

    HOWEVER:

I think it's time we have a discussion about microgaming as a whole, after the Tusk situation and now this - I think it's honestly time for this network to completely shut it's doors.

    Anyone have any thoughts?

    http://www.eurolinx.com/

    http://betonbet.com/

websites are officially down and showing the following statement:

    21. August 2009

MALTA – The Linx Media Group has today announced that it is seeking to put its businesses into liquidation and will cease trading with immediate effect.

As yet, the Linx Media Group does not know how long this process will take, but it will provide updates on the situation as and when information becomes available and when liquidators are appointed.

A company spokesperson from the Linx Media Group stated: “It is with great regret that we make this announcement. I appreciate the concern and frustration that this will inflict on the Eurolinx, BetOnBet, and Linx Casino player community. Affected account holders are those individuals who have agreed to a contractual relationship with the Linx Media Group through Eurolinx, BetOnBet and Linx Casino. All available player funds are held by these businesses. As soon as we have information on how to lodge claims with the liquidators, we will communicate this via www.eurolinx.com, www.BetOnBet.com and www.linxcasino.com.”

Also want to say I feel horrible for the players losses here, going to be in the millions. And while I did a lot with these brands I'm owed a nice chunk of money, I hope the players get theirs first.

I suggest any affiliate owed money go into www.twolinx.com IMMEDIATELY and take a screenshot of what you are owed for each back month they missed payments, and also for this months current. I'm guessing it won't be anytime soon, and we'll probably be bought off for a percentage of what is owed, but there is always a chance and I'd do this ASAP before they take the backend down.

Really sorry for you MJ - it sucks big time!

Personally, I never liked the brand, so at least this means they won't send out any more spam to try to acquire me as an affiliate.

In case you're one of those affiliates that don't make a dime, why not play some free poker on my website PokerForFree.org. I am always on the hunt for new members, and if you contact me and mention PAL, I'll be more than happy to increase your initial bankroll a bit

I loved their brand but trust me it sucks a lot more for players and bigger affiliates than me, I'm owed several thousand but I've heard of players with upwards of 250k on there and I'm sure many rakeback affiliates are owed at least five figures.

Basically it's a done deal, doubt we'll ever see cash.

Nicely done eurolinx!..Betonbet was a very reliable before eurolinx took them under their wings..I remember back in the days betonbet had almost instant neteller/moneybookers withdrawels and affiliates was paid the 1st of the month...only took eurolinx ½ year to completely turn betonbet around

regarding Microgaming...maybe they need do some changes in their policies...for exsample that you cant not mention that you offer rakeback on a microgaming skin as an affiliate, while some sites like Ladbrokes and nordicbet openly mention 30% rb. on their homepage....why can an affiliate not marketing this? Why must they call it some bs like VIP deal, contact us by mail/msn for more info

Then I really prefer with for exsample Boss Media tells their skin : RB cap at 30%, go ahead marketing it..get us players..

Now you can get 60-80% rakeback from some shady affiliates offering rb. at Microgaming skins (strangely enough their all offering this at one site ; purple lounge), while honest affiliates are not allowed to marketing the "secret" 30% rb cap they have..they even made a list of poker websites that are not allowed to advitise for microgaming rooms!

fuck fuck fuck. I feel like shit for recommending BetOnBet to my players. Yes, i will lose affiliate commissions because of this site. However im much more concerned about how my players will get their funds. Also Im very dissapointed by the lack off response by the Microgaming/prima poker network. They really should step in and pay the players their moneys. Because this isnt the first case where they act like bunch of retards I have decided that I will as of today pull all the advertisments of Microgaming poker network sites and Microgaming casinos.

I was going to post about this last week, but didnt want to as it was still in the unconfirmed category. I personally know 2 players who have more than 100k on eurolinx. I think everyone should stick with the big guys there - ladbrokes and Unibet. The margins might be smaller, but hell it's a lot mroe reliable and you know they both have powerhouse companies/brands behind them whos income is complimented by poker rather than dependant on it.

I don't understand how this happens. Poker rooms should always hold poker players money in a separate account. Randy and I do not promote these rooms and I am glad, but we went through this same shit with the Card Spike mess. At least they were a fairly young room when everything went to shit. We still had a lot of players there that lost a lot of money because we promoted them heavily. We were also out a lot of money in commissions owed. I feel bad for all of you and your players. It sucks to think that you have money coming in and then find out that the company has gone belly up.

I agree 100% with you. It looks to me like the rooms that are going busto are the ones fighting the rakeback wars. Sticking with those rooms that avoid that mess and have liquidity should keep you out of trouble.
