That's 17 in total... got to give the Spoon a call tomorrow evening with the final final number for this booking, any last minute changes will from now on involve buying me a drink.
Getting there: Walk out of the Sofitel, turn towards nearest big river, get to big river, see a boat called Spoon... you are there in 2 minutes. We will tell the staff to expect people from 'PAL' or 'Poker Affiliate Listings' so they can point you to the right table.
One last thing - we really don't want to see 20 credit cards being waved at the end of the dinner... please make sure you visit the ATM on your way to the dinner... could do without any excuses on this front - thanks!
Looking forward to seeing you all on Friday at 19:30 hrs sharp!
Mark
All,
Have been working with Stephen to arrange a PAL dinner for Budapest.
Details of what is arranged below - have a provisional booking for 30 people and will need to confirm this (or add to the number!) by the 31st August. Please only confirm if you are 100% to attend... I'm more then happy to help organise this, but far too busy with my own stuff to stand being messed around!
Date / Time: Friday The 11th September 19:30 hrs
Where: 'Spoon' a boat on the Danube just a few minutes from the Sofitel, pics etc here Spoon Cafe & Lounge
Price: Estimating $70 per head for 3 courses and a couple of drinks, a little more if you order the coctails or lobster, a little less if you much a salad and drink water.
We have 2 long tables with a Danube view booked, with large groups they do a platter style starter with welcome drink (Hungarian champaign)... the menu after that is a mix of Hungarian and International and the wine list is excellent.
Important caveat: Spoon have specified that they do not want to be faced with 20 different people waving plastic at them at the end of the meal. We thus require that attendees bring cash, its approx 15,000 Hungarian Forints each. Hungary has ATMs all over so no excuses there, I'll make arrangements to scan the reciept afterwards and mail on request for expenses claims etc
Should be a great night, if the weather is good I suggest we could stop off at the Magrit Island afterwards for a few Palinkas at some of the outside venues there....
So, if you are 100% in then post below!
Thanks, Mark
