Exclamation Full Tilt Poker Cutting Sub-affiliate %'s!!

Full Tilt Poker Cutting Sub-Affiliate Percentages!

I'm surprised I haven't seen this posted yet. Got an email today from Full Tilt Poker. I think this is totally messed up since we are supposed to get X% for the life of the sub-affiliate. So I've went form 7% down to 3%..

I mean if this was just for future referrals then ok w/e. But jeesh, this is a big hit for us. So much for X% for the "lifetime of the affiliate"!

    Example: (if my sub got 35%, i got 20% of 35% = 7%)

So who is now nervous about their "Lifetime Revenue Share"??? I really would like to hear someone from FullTiltPoker.com come and try and explain and justify this to all of us. Nell? Anyone?

On September 1st, the structure of our sub-affiliate commission plan is changing. Currently, master affiliate earnings are calculated on the commission their sub-affiliate receives.

Moving forward, for all PRP affiliates that you refer, you will receive 3% of the net revenue generated by their players. Alternatively, for all CPA affiliates that you refer, you will now receive a $5 fixed CPA for each qualified referral they send

Seems odd that they just come out of nowhere and change this on affiliates. Not cool if you ask me.

Odd? Really? Even after they introduced the '30 day' rule out of nowhere, exactly like this?

Glad I dropped their links a long time ago. I don't work with shifty companies.

This shouldn't affect sub-affiliates on PAS or Rakeupdate etc. This is direct sub-affiliates (non rakeback usually) which is a bit different

Randy...you didn't see the part in the T&C's where it says "...unless we decide to screw you?"

And how come you didn't know that 'lifetime' meant 2 years? Whats wrong with you man?

I don't mean to sound like I know everything or that I'm smarter than anyone else, BUT...

...we talked about this on a 7453 page thread when they implemented the 60 day rule, and I was yelling at everyone to get rid of FT for good. Some of us did, but not enough. Then it became a losing battle and those of us who dropped them had to add them again.

I remember talking about us needing to stop what would become a snowball effect of the rooms taking little bits at a time for as long as we let them. So, all I have to say is this...if you were one of the ones that kept FT on your site after the 60 day rule - don't fucking complain, you are part of the problem.

Until affiliates start to stand up as a group and tell the rooms what we are NOT willing to put up with, THEY WILL CONTINUE TO TAKE FROM US.

Unfortunately, 92% of you will not understand what I'm saying for another 3-4 years when your commissions aren't good enough to stay in this business.

I'm at the point where I realize that this business is only going to be 'good' for another few years, and then it will be time to move to something else. The shame of it all is that it will be because affiliates let it happen. It will be our own fault.

Better hit it hard now, it's only going to get worse.

Exactly. If affiliates unite and protest against these ever changing conditions(also briefly stopping the promotion of such rooms), these rooms will not be able to screw their partners anymore! It's you guys who make a poker room successful, and after these rooms get a solid player base, they think they can impose ANY condition!

However, if you guys still continue to be silent over this and take no action TOGETHER, you should expect more predatory terms in the future!
