    Default Top Affiliate Markets

As most of you know I'm a carpenter/poker player turned affiliate marketer - I'm looking to diversify and enter some new markets, thought maybe we could brainstorm a list of profitable affiliate markets and make notes of which ones are the most competitive.

Forex - competitive, requires knowledge on the subject to succeed imo.

Dating - not sure if competitive, somewhat saturated though.

Porn - wife would never allow it , doesn't interest me, (and competitive).

    What are some other markets?

I have in the last three weeks started sites in these markets:

    Local (vacation)

    Budget/Money Saving Tips

    Energy Conservation.

What are some markets I'm missing even considering?

MJ, you've done a great job getting into the industry! Nice work!

There are literally hundreds of affiliate markets. The ones you listed above are pretty competitive no doubt. However one you mentioned, local travel, is a really interesting niche. (http://www.gotravellikealocal.com)
No one knows your area better than you. Taking some of your building background you might look into construction products and tools as well.

I am always a fan of taking what you know and like and then exploring the demand for online marketing within that business.

Building local city or down directory portals is another idea.

Heath and fitness is also a good niche.

Look at clickbank products and see which ones are the most popular. This is a good indication of products that can see and there is still a market for them.

I would probably avoid porn for a few reasons. I know I would get too distracted to work at it but I have some friends in that industry (affiliates & affiliate managers not porn stars) and their industry is taking a severe beating due to tube sites. The conversion rates are worse than gambling and the payouts are not as great. Probably the best way to get any value out of porn would be chat/cam models.

I do think gambling is #1 and will be for a very long time. After that I wouldn't know where to start to venture from these 2 and not be able to compare gaming income from the rest.

    Ditto
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.
