    Default Podcasting.

Hey guys. I have just stumbled on this forum which I never knew existed. Great job!

Anyway, wanted to know if anyone has been doing podcasting or other to market their websites/affiliations. The reason I am asking is because I recently started a show on BlogTV where quite a few regulars show up for. I play tournaments and discuss hands during the show, which is kind of laid back, partly because they can go on for hours.

Here is the problem as I think it right now - I am preaching to the converted. The guys who are on the show KNOW everything about what I do and sell and teach, and have likely bought as much as they are going to from me.

So should I carry on with the show, and if so, how do I use it to reach a wider audience?

    Marty,

There are affiliates that podcast but I personally haven't seen that many. I definitely think you should continue. If you already have a small audience and your show is good, you can gain more.

The guys that play already surely haven't played at all the sites. You can always let them know about other poker sites they may not have heard of.

In terms of advertising, I would setup a site for the show. Then you can place poker room listings there and add content based on your show's topics. The more you add the better and your site will grow.

There are all kinds of possibilities. You can give away prizes on the show, have your listeners refer friends to listen, etc etc.

Best of luck with that, it sounds exciting!

You could change the site you play at, and talk about what you like/dislike there when there are downtime in the tournament.

If you combine it with a website where you have reviews or maybe some kind of exclusive offer for your listeners, where they get 10$ for free or something like that, you may be able to get some sign ups that way.

    Cool, TY.

I really don't market the sites too much anymore as I have never had much success with that. Now I do have a page set up for the show as BlogTV does that instantly for you. (Search turtleknife on BlogTV)

What I have been doing is featuring some of the software I use while playing, and describing strategic decision making while in tournaments. I mean I like doing the show, as it is a great way to connect with my list. I am just not sure if it is profitable enough to justify.

Well I shall carry on for awhile anyhow.
