who's managing walmart on wednesdays and sundays if the managers are gone? weird.

I'm horrible at organization, no doubt, so much so that my business partner convinced me to invest into the development of a project manager plugin that we can use on across our sites to manage and keep track of what needs to be done and easily tell what has been done (it's really for quick outsourcing of our standard repetitive tasks). it's still in development but nearly done... going to check out the tada list stuff as well to get my daily time at the office more productive.

Good stuff, Randy. I try to set aside at least 4 hours out of each day where I'm completely inaccessible to the world. No email, no phone, and LeechBlock (a Firefox plugin suggested by someone here at PAL) enabled.

Tell your self what's important right now, and take care of it. No questions asked. I'm guilty of this as well. Setting an hourly schedule may be difficult, but if it is something big make sure you set some time for it.

    Hi Jeremy,

A to do list is a good start. Sometimes, you can not stick to it if something out of control happens like your website is down or have a family issue.

Just by writing a to do list will help you to get some of the stress out of your head and it feels good to do it.

Personally, working out on a schedule doesnt work for me. I just do what I need to do based on priorities. I make a priority list before I go to sleep and start my day with that. My priority list includes work and also my obligations as a mom.

I had days were 24 hours were not enough to get things done until one day I decided to "Work to life" and not "Life to work". I had a panic attack because my stress level went to the roof for so many things that were on my head that need it to get done (deadlines on projects, presentations, targets to meet, managing people, etc).
Since that time, there are a few words that I say to myself when days get really busy:

    - First thing first
    - Do what you need to do
    - Priorities

    Great topic!

    Cheers,

    - Stop playing poker while you run your business unless you are a gambling addict
    - Stop going on youtube and other time wasters, you are supposed to be making money
    - Stop chatting all day with people who don't make $. It's unreal how many people in this industry are content with making a few k a month then just chatting up people on skype all day. Kills productivity.

I use The Action Machine, it's the single most productive tool I have in my arsenal. It creates timers for your mind which ignites productivity. I suggest you check it out.

Have you got a link at all?

When I do a Google search, I just come across spammy sales sites ...

theactionplan.com has a sales page. It kind of just looks like a fancy google calendar with a timer. It's 47 bucks but affiliates get 60% through clickbank. So I guess it's worth around 20 bucks.

Even so, I think I'm going to try it out and report back. Thanks for the tip Kyle.
