Lets say you've found poker affiliation and have done some reading on PAL, listened to a few radio shows and read the various SEO blogs that members write including Pokerseo.org.

You start you're first site and come up with a couple hundred pages that you feel will allow you to attract traffic and maybe even some links. You set out to write them. You don't know if it's going to work, you don't really know what to expect and you're spending a lot of either time or money on getting the site built.

I think if you haven't tasted success yet it's a lot harder to stay really focused and on track.
I agree with this. Even when I see a new sign up it gives me more drive to do some more work to get another one. I guess its just the passion that keeps people at it when they're not making any money at first.

I set myself tasks for the day and make sure I finish them. If you look too far ahead then you get distracted on your short term goals. If I'm starting a new site I plan ahead and decide what I want on the site, what the keywords that I will target will be etc and then I chop it up into time frames. eg. I'll get the review section done this week. And then maybe chop it up even more by saying I'm going to do 5 reviews today, the same on wednesday and the final 5 on thursday etc.

For me, I think it also helps if I write my tasks for the day/week down. It reminds me how much work I have left to do and I can organise my time better doing them.

My main distractions are 1. Researching things I don't know how to do or am curious about, when I really should be working on the things I do know how to do. and 2............. PAL

For anyone that does have a "staff" or partners, or any other type of team that they work with, I HIGHLY recommend Basecamp. I have been using it for about 6 months now - and it has changed the way my business runs. Everything is more organized and gets done twice as fast (at least) just because of the amount of organization.

It is not really helpful to individuals though, only if you have other people that work for/with you.
If you need Casino Reviews, I probably have the one(s) you're looking for.
