Default More bad news from Pitbull Poker

I am sure everyone remembers our friends in the new recently. Pitbull Poker was always questionable (at best) but seemed to be under the radar most of the time. Apparently 5Dimes Sportsbook was using a PB skin (flash) for their poker client. Like most Sportsbooks they really don't put a lot of time or resources into their poker room. One player had a pretty interesting conversation with their customer support (who I have to admit did refund them); it shows the level of frustration this is causing for those programs. If you want to check out the chat transcription it's here.

The player is obviously mad because he lost and feels the room was set up with bots (where have we heard this before).

It comes to me as a major surprise that prohibition has not helped. In fact, one could go so far as to say that prohibition has created even more of the same problems it attempted to address. I feel like we have seen this somewhere else in history...

I don't think the loss of Pitbull Poker is going to have industry-wide consequences, they're pretty tiny in comparison to the "industry".

It doesn't matter, I'm not talking about the Pitbull situation in itself.

The attitude and perception amongst the players, the distrust of the losers, and the overall problems with skins running with money, more than one room being caught in a cheating scandal, combined with players frustrations over funding and cashouts all give credit to the idea of regulation.

If you thought I really truly meant that as industry blanket statement I guess I need to spell out more details, but this leads to the perception of an outlaw industry and makes favorable legislation over a lottery type system a tougher case (imo).

If private rooms and networks want a chance at legal entrance to the US market, they need to set the example of fairness and fair play and weed out the crooks - plus provide their customers good service. The failure of not having that is why companies like Pitbull can operate unchecked for all these years and not get caught makes the case for a legitimate gaming commission, of whatever kind has the best chance of success (no idea what that is though).

Basically anymore it's the difference between playing at a real casino and trying to count on getting all of your money off the table safely in a backbar game anymore is what it feels like.

Anyways, I didn't mean to derail the threas as my first comment was extremely general and just a reaction to what I read there - I just think it's amazing and probably a lot more of it went on or goes on then we will ever actually find out about.

They closed finally, yesterday they still appeared open.

PitbullPoker | Play Texas Holdem at Pitbull Poker

Ridiculous that PokerStars and Cplanet accept them as an affiliate now. Good to know if I ever create a skin and cheat my customers out of millions I still have that backdoor available to me.
