    Default home page table 2

inspired by this thread Homepage Table Conversions

im interesting in a poll on which of my 2 landing pages you like best.
    I have used MPC´s advise.
    Other suggestions also welcome.
Im also thinking about maybe moving the table below "top poker rooms" and sidebar instead of having it at the very top. Is it too much in your face?

Also i will be changing the top navigation bar to something more interesting than 3 links to room reviews.

    A

    B

I like B, but you should A/B test this as well of course and see what the users think.

The reason I like B is because it makes the site looks trustworthy and businesslike to my eyes.

Well... now I'm just going to add fuel to the fire. This is my opinion only so don't feel bad if I beat you up a little.

First, let's clarify something. The role of the hompage is slighly different than the role of a money page. Your home page gives "first impression" and what you want out of it is gaining credibility, clearly presenting what the site is about, and encouraging visitors to take an action (what ever it may be). You want visitors to feel confortable. I think the advertising is overly agressive. Yes, you should have call to actions on the home page, but think of if from the view of a visitor. They read a site from left to right, top to bottom. They usually scan headers and images before getting to the actual content text.

In A, they see a header, then the main menu (that really doesn't give credit to your site's richness in content), then it's a bunch of call to actions: Top poker rooms, big PKR ad, big forum ad. The problem I think is that you're going to confuse the visitor. What is this site about? OK, from your header I can tell it' sprimarilly about bonus codes. But it's about other things too. Your main menu should outline the general information categories I can expect to see on this site. You're using it to add emphasis on some money pages which you selected. In reality, those three pages are really in the same family of content, under one topic.

Is this also news site? I see you have a lot of news content, but from what I've seen so far, there's no indication that news is important to this site. Seems like it is when I get to the bottom. If news is an important component, why is it not in the main menu?

Menu issue aside, for model A you're trying to emphasise PKR. There's nothing wrong with that at all. The problem is that you're surrounding this with to many other calls to action. It's just too much. There's no natural flow my eyes can follow. Are you asking me to click the forum ad, the pkr add or the bonus code table?

I'm not saying you can't have all those elements on the page, but rethink the layout. If you want a call to action for 1 specific room or thing, than give it the full stage. I think the click rate will be much higer that way.

Design B - I personally never liked the sites that take up half the top of the homepage to bombard me with advertisement. I would actually put that big box at the bottom so thatt I can see what you're site is actually about.

Remember, the homepage is the face of your site. Don't oversell because that can be a turn off. The super agressive advertising can work quite well on the omney pages because if a visitor decided to click the link to go there, then you're putting exactly what they want in their face.

Also, I think one of my big issues is how you've structured/grouped content. It's confusing. Also, I don't think I've seen a header called "content" before. The entire site is content. This isn't descriptive enough.

EDIT: I just saw your note about changing the navigation bar! lol

BTW, I am in no way claiming to be a conversion expert. Far from it in fact. Just stating an opinion based on what makes sense to me. Get more input before you change up everything.

MPc reminded me of something that kinda bugged me as well. Why is there a Forum Ad in A but nothing at all about a Forum in B?

Why kill the forum? I mean... why?

Also have you decided what to do yet? Or will there be another A/B test here soon?

There forum was dead, and being about freerolls i dident want to spend time on it when i have sites targeting more profitable visitors i can work on.
Another test well i will leave as B for some weeks and see how that goes and take it from there.
