Default How Is Rummy, Backgammon, and Skill Games Market?

I have only been looking into these niches for a short time, I'm aware these were supposed to be "the next big thing" (rummy and skill games at least) and never really seemed to manifest itself in terms of online real money. It also appears that regardless of how conversions are there is tons of traffic to be had.

Now I see there is options to promote Snooker, Billiards, Dominoes, as well as conventional games like Yahtzee and Scrabble - even Chess is now played for real money online.

To those of you who've dabbled in this niche, how is it going? Is it growing? Would love to see groups like Rummy Royal and Play65 around here if they happen to lurk.

I'm very green to this segment of the market, but eager to look into it and learn a bit. If anyone wants to post here or even discuss with me privately your opinions I'd love to hear it.

Only tried rummy for a short while. Didnt go anywhere. Might give some of the other ones a try again in the future by starting a skill games section on my site.

P.S. You put baccarat in the title, its not a skill game like the others.

True, baccarat is more like blackjack I guess (never played it) and just a casino game.

I've heard that a lot about Rummy so far, but a site like RummyRoyal is getting pretty good traffic, so I feel like there is a missing piece to the puzzle.

I have the domain GinRummyOnline.org that I haven't done much with at all. I don't rank well for anything because I haven't put any effort into it but I still have had 5 PMP sign ups so far.

If you're interested in getting started in Rummy hit me up for that domain - I am pretty sure there is a ton of traffic for that term.

I am bringing RummyRoyal onto PAL/CAL next week, and Shay is an expert in that industry. He'll be here to help out with anything you guys need regarding rummy.

It would be awesome to speak with an industry expert, I do want to consider both Rummy and other Skill Games in this thread. I hope more will speak up with their experiences.

Kevin, you have the right domain and a start to the content - you should keep going!

I know I'm two years behind on this "excitement" but I still think there has to be tons of oppurtunity out there in an underexposed unsaturated niche. Plus, I think there is a TON of potential to convert this type of traffic at Casino and Poker as well.

I really know nothing about Rummy and am not too interested about it (I would have troubles writing content about rummy). If I build up some money I would like to invest $1000-2000 into the site and get it going because I bet it has a lot of potential.

I'm still fairly certain there it is still unsaturated and would be much easier to rank for keywords than poker.

Yea the keywords are unsaturated and from the figures I saw directly from Shay, the player value is actually quite high for people that start playing rummy and take a liking to it.

I launched a rummy site a couple months ago and I've had mixed results. Traffic/rankings have come much easier than I anticipated. I knew from my initial research that the serps were pretty much wide open and my results have still been better than expected.

The downside is the fact that none of my players seem to want to play for real money. Granted its only been a couple months and I've only put small-medium amount of time/effort/resources into the niche but I was expecting at least 1 RMP by now. So far this is how it looks:

    - 189 clicks
    - 23 downloads
    - 17 signups
    - 0 real money players

I'm pushing that $5 free promo at Rummy Royal and was hoping that would entice some players to make a deposit but I guess not. I only promote Rummy Royal on the site so that may be a factor. I hate giving rooms free advertising like this though so I'm probably just going to pull the Rummy Royal ads and replace them with poker/casino ads.

Overall though I think it was a worthwhile investment. I have a nice rummy site baking in the oven. There could be an "online rummy" boom in the next couple years...you never know .
