Default How's The Twitter Treatin Ya

Curious how folks have done since my last twitter post when many said they would get into this. I haven't done much with twitter lately, but have almost 7K followers. I never got much value from them. Im not sure I can trace a single signup to any direct twitter campaigns. Those trackers have probably thousands of clicks altogether and no signups.

I have to say I am not really a fan of twitter.

It is just another thing I have to continually pay attention too, and I never seem to post there often.

I can't bring myself to keep on Twitter either. Facebook is really enough a social network for me, and everyone seems to use it versus just a handful of my "non internet geek" friends.

On a lighter note though, Shoemoney is making a truck load of money on Twitter.

I like it. You get alot of interesting updates from the pros.
There is some spam though, but mostly from poker rooms, i just remove them if it gets too much.

I've kinda backed off using Twitter a little bit. It just started getting so freakin spammy.

I highly recommend reading this article about how "Social Search" will become more integrated into your and everyone's search results eventually. It will make you think twice about writing off Twitter:

I've had great results with Twitter but I have put in the time as well. Most of my results have been with free bankroll though, I do seem to get a good quality player using twitter because they know I am a real person.

Twitter and Facebook could not be more different in terms of marketing. Twitter is an open system where people expect to have people reach out to them they don't know. Facebook is more for friends and people you know. I know people do marketing on Facebook but I can't imagine it is near as good as Twitter.

Sorry to bump this old thread but I had registered a couple twitter accounts awhile ago and then forgot about them. I did some searching last night to see what accounts I picked up and realized I have the twitter account: Casino News. Pretty stoked on it.
