Just to let you all know that the Affiliate Union has changed to The Gambling Affiliates Union and will be going ahead and launching soon.

I will be involved and as a mod and also a person that likes to be here and enjoys being here i just thought i would like to let you all in on the story.

The Gambling Affiliates Union will be opening its doors very soon!

100% guaranteed!

Not 100% as originally imagined and most certainly not 100% founded by the original founders of the Affiliate Union!

There will be no hidden agendas, no conspiracy theories and no collusion with any third parties either.

It will be 100% transparent, 100% affiliate orientated and 100% genuine!

There will be finances involved as 1 of the biggest negatives has been regarding how 1 such organisation can run without finances, however, they will not be borne by sponsorship i can assure you.

The Union will be prepared to work alongside any one person or organisation that wishes to work alongside or with the union and will not be working against any organisation that is prepared to fight for affiliates.

That said, anyone that wishes to be a supporter is welcome and anyone that feels they can add to the unions success is very welcome to offer their support in any way!

Fair comments and i have no issue in answering you!

In essence the funding will come from the membership by way of a membership fee like any other union, however, the fees will be waived for the nursery period.

Once fees are charged they are likely to be coins rather than notes and will break nobodys bank.

As many have pointed out, a union cannot work without funds, however, to uphold the original idea, this is a union that will never be beholden to programs, so finances have to come from affiliates.

There are also other ways to raise funds that i would rather go i to once up and running, however, they will be quite free from contempt.

Why funds?

Well, there will be costs to run and of course people working full time hours to help the union succeed will be deserving of a reward.

At present, the union team consists of me with a little help and backing from Paula (Mojo). No issues there as there is no need for umpteen people to be involved initially and as the whole idea is a union offering the membership the choice on decisions then there should be no issue there.

I have lots of questions about another group being launched to safeguard and protect the interests of affiliates.

It has to have 100% backing from all affiliates to give "GAU" the slightest chance of even getting off the ground.

Not to be negative also about the possibilities of such a body, but I can not see from were you will have the power to fight against the big guns in our industry.

No organisation has or will get 100% support, however, massive scale support will be reuired for a successful launch.

The whole idea of a union was to have strength in numbers, however, the idea has also evolved and will hopefully have in place things to allow a strength from within.
