Default Affiliate Payments - Things Must Improve and Fast!

I just wanted to put out a general rant about payments in the industry these days and make some points which I think all affiliates will concur with.

Many of these points have been made recently by members of this forum and I am noticing a significant increase in tension and stress over payments from many rooms.

    So, here we go...please discuss:

    1) Affiliate payments should be made SEPARATE from the poker room or casino and NEVER to a player account (unless a specific request is made by the affiliate for this method).

    2) Affiliate payments should be made ON TIME and at the SAME TIME each month. I am thinking by the 10th of the month, the money should be in the affiliate's grasp, if not on the way if cheque is requested as the method of payment.

    3) An emailed STATEMENT should be sent out breaking down the monthly payment. The statement should include all information about the payment including how all commissions were calculated as well as signups, etc... The statement should also include last month's revenue and the total revenue for the calendar year. The more info the better and this should be PRINTABLE or have a possible request for a mailed hard copy. Also, possibly a link to a detailed breakdown if it isn't on the report.

    4) There should be at least 3 different payment methods available. I suggest CHEQUE, WIRE, and some other form (Moneybookers, Instadebit, etc...) as well as the option to "request" a player account deposit to yourself or one or more of your players. There should also be an option to fund a tournament for your players with some of the revenue with an option to email players about the tourney if one is set up.

    5) There should be some options as to the currency of the funds. I suggest US Dollars or Euros as options. (Jeremy would probably support Euros as I think he figures the US Dollar is going extinct)

    6) There really needs to be something done to SEPARATE affiliates from gamblers. We should NEVER run into a circumstance where a bank or other entity denies us or questions us about our funds because it is "tied" to gambling. We are not all necessarily gamblers and gambling laws shouldn't apply to our advertising/marketing jobs.

Of course it would be nice if we had our own interac debit cards, but after the Affiliate Speedpay fiasco, I guess this idea will never fly.

    Corp for president.

I wrote this thread once today and decided not to post since I'm sick with the flu and was tilting/ranting already this morning.

All good ideas. One I want to make clear:

We should be PAID! affiliate cashiers to request payment and transfers to player account annoy me. Send me a check or send me a wire. I just want it every month. I don't care if it is on the 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th or 30th..just once per month pay me on the same date.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

I agree with was said. However it is important to note that some programs already follow the above guidelines.

Well, we should generate a list so that affiliates can push some solid programs.

Good point. I do most of my promotions through Rakeupdate now, but I still do some smaller rooms direct for the moment mainly because RU doesn't offer these yet. So I can cashout anytime and have 6-7 payment options. I guess I'm getting spoiled. Course this is mainly rakeback although youc an do revshare at most of the rooms.

The rooms I do direct are Aced which pays timely, at least into my player account. The one time I requested a check from there is was close to 6 weeks.

Reefer was somewhat faster, around 3-4 weeks.

PokerStars, I guess they have decided to pay at the end of the month, but their checks arrive within 5 business days without fail.

Party Poker is very good as well, their checks take about 2 weeks though

PDC is somewhat slow with their checks, but they pay on time.

I guess now that I think about it, the real issue is getting money out of our player accounts.

How is PAW doing on payments? I've never done much with them, any feedback? I knwo they had issues with PS

Been saying forever that if this wasn't a problem none of us would mind getting payments to our player accounts.

    Anyways:

Paying to a player account fast should not be commended, what matters is how fast it gets into our pockets.

    Chipleader is reliable and fast.

Anyone else in my book is hit or miss.

PAW has been great, quick bank wires right into my account.
