How many rooms to promote

I'll be starting a big gambling site soon and was just courious of what people though on how many sites to promote. The site will promote casinos, sportsbooks and pokerrooms.

So I was just thinking what people preferred, promoting a lot of sites just a few or somewhere in the middle.


1. 3 sportsbooks, casinos and pokerrooms (3 each)

2. 5 each

3. 10 each

4. 15 each

5. 20 each

By the way the site will be a strategy site and will be mainly an article based site with 100-200 strategy articles it makes a difference.

We only Promote 15 poker rooms ,with casino i think we have to be close to 100 now .For bingo about 120 .

without looking at the content and full idea it is hard to advice.

What I would suggest is starting with less sites: and find ways to make marketing those sites profitable first. As this is accomplished add more. This is a bit backwards than many websites do it, but it is the way I'd start if developing a large site now.

At the beginning you could focus more on sites offering the 3 programs at once, like betfair.

Most affiliates promote a couple or few from each network in terms of poker.

With casinos, I've seen affiliates tend to promote more brands from each software provider.

I think the key is to not spread yourself to thin at first.

I think that you must offer your users a choice.
On the other hand,

less rooms = less complexity for you
less romms = more new customers/room = higher payouts / customer (as the rooms usually have thresholds, which are easier to achieve when sending your customers to only a few rooms).

I therefore would start with a number of rooms between 5 and 8.
