Folks, here is the deal...there is just too much going on in this industry these days that is changing, hurting us, causing us stress...

I don't know all of you, but I know many of you and hear your complaints regularly. Personally, I need to blow off some of that stress by ranting about things in the industry.

I also like to hear the opinions and suggestions of affiliates and AMs regarding many issues.

So, I am starting this thread and will do my very best to bring out "my" and "other affiliate's" rants about the industry on a weekly basis.

I am hoping that it will generate some interesting discussion and lead to some improvements in the industry - small or large.

Please share your thoughts and opinions! I will date my rants - and maybe someday they will become a blog, etc...(thinking about starting my own blog at corpfan1.com).

Looking forward to hearing your ideas/suggestions/opinions/reactions!

Chipleader - Please Give Us A Payment Statement

Here is the thing:

I don't understand the point of a statistical backend if it NEVER matches your payment at the end of the reporting period.

This is 4 months out of the last 5 that the payment has not matched the stats. It has been short for these months. I am sure the reason will be once again "CHARGEBACKS"...but without an actual statement to show the calculations and the applied chargebacks, how in the world do we know this without having to hassle the AMs and wait for a response saying "It was chargebacks...".

Also - why so many chargebacks?


The motto "Affiliates Always Come First" and before being the "Leading Affiliate Program" in the industry makes no sense, when stats can't be backed up with a FINAL PAYMENT STATEMENT.

So, c'mon AP and UB...HOW IS MY PAYMENT CALCULATED?

I asked them this 3 or 4 months ago. When i didnt receive a payment for 2 months in a row.

Finally after 10 emails and 20 days got replied with that same thing, chargebacks, but no statement or invoice for them, so i had to take there word for it.

Would be nice thou to get a statement, so i know how long ill be in the hole for with them.

Hypocrites That Call Themselves Businessmen

This will be more of a mini-rant as it is nothing new...but here goes.

The people who run the race tracks here in Ontario, Canada (e.g. Woodbine) and the OLGC (Ontario Lottery and Gaming Commission) are true hypocrites.

They say that online gambling - especially online poker - is cutting into their profits and they would like to see it go away.

They have had several forums for their complaints before members of the government of Ontario.

Here is the hypocrisy...their online wagering business is booming! They use a site to allow horse race bettors the ability to bet on races and have online accounts. Everything is linked together, so you can wager on the phone, at the track, at an offtrack restaurant or establishment or online. Their online service has been ramped up to include live streaming of races, etc...

This is fairly new - a couple of years - and they are playing the "If you can't beat'em join'em" game now. Yet they are STILL complaining that online poker is stealing their business. This when they are trying to compete directly by now allowing wagering online.

Would love to hear some of the things going on down south in the USA.
