    Question Best converting creative/ banners

It would be really helpful if the affiliates & affiliate managers can list their top 5 banners in terms of conversions and share some of their experience.

We can safely list the following as the characteristics of a good banner or acquisition creative

    - Small file/ easy to load
    - Prominent and clear call to action.
    - Good ad copy – clear communication
    - Some animation/ eye catching
    - Simplicity of layout

This will help affiliates in selecting the correct banner for their websites/ promotions and affiliate managers to create better creative for the affiliates.

Good post, we'll be careful that every affiliate manager doesn't come in a drop 5 of their most recent banners in here and claims they convert well lol. In terms of what makes a good creative Satya, you really nailed down some of the best criteria above: Simple, clear call to action and compelling text.

I like banners that: load quickly, have one main offer, clean design, 3 frames maximum.

    Bad Example:

    Good Example:

There are really better ways to convert traffic than just banners, but they can be a nice addition to a well constructed review page. I am more of a fan of the rectangle (like 250x250) banners more than I am 468's and leaderboards.

    Thanks Greg,

Agree with you that conversions go much beyond banners. But banners is a good point to start this discussion and see how it goes. It is important that everyone realises there is always scope for improvement in the click thru rate on banners and contribute to the overall conversions.

Many thanks for your input. The Titan banner is really simple and to the point. Good example.

    Any more feedback.
