iPoker Network kicking off winning players?

Hey guys, I had a quick chat with a friend of mine this morning and he told me he heard some of the larger iPoker rooms were giving their winning players the boot. After some quick research I found this story which details some of it (from Victor Chandler) - VC Blocks Players.

What are your thoughts on this? Do winning players cost everyone, especially the networks, too much money?

What a complete and utter joke, its not the fault of the player that they are making a good earning at the tables.

Surely if they are taking the money from people then at least one player per hand is losing?

If thats the way that iPoker are going to go then i think that they can say goodbye to their members and i'm positive that places such as PS, FTP and PKR will be there to offer an alternative.

So glad that i don't push a single iPoker site.

Hard to imagine how to market a game of skill when winners get the boot?

Ipokers problem is with parasite skins on the network, and the type of players they bring to the table (former players of another skin, not new players) not players on legit sites like VC.

I just don't understand how they can create a rule that force their skins to kick off players. I regularly speak to people who ask if I can "withdraw the money I win", and having stories circulating about player accounts being shut down because they "won too much" certainly can't be helping to get those people to play online...

Maybe it is time to start shorting Playtech stock

it's ridiculous but at the same time makes sense in terms of making a real effort to stamp out under the table deals.

HAHA, you think those players wont play again on ipoker? yes they do, just picking another site

No I think they'll play on Ipoker, but I dont think there will be anywhere near the levels of illegal rb deals that we've seen over the past 3 years. I know several AMs from the network quite well and Playtech are bringing the hammer down in 2010.
