Default Problem with Doyle's Room Affiliates - Resolved

Monique verified when I signed up as an affiliate at Doyles Room that a promo code overrides any cookies. Well I had a player sign up for rakeback and he is tracked to someone else, even though he used my promo code. He filled out my registration form and all of that for rakeback on my site. Today Marcela tells me basically "I can't take a player away from another affiliate." Apparently me being told that the code is all I need (and the fact that it was a complete lie) does not matter.

Now I have to remove all of the links I have to Doyles Room, I wasted all my times building a thorough review of the site, and I can only guess how many other players I was cheated out of.

    Thanks Doyles Room.

Also, don't delete this thread, nothing in it is anything beyond fact.

We don't delete threads like this man, I'm sure Marcela will chime in. I know Cake Network skins in general had serious tracking issues for anyone on Firefox but I (hope) it's been remedied.

I promote Doyles pretty passively, they are listed on my sites but I don't really push them - but aside from that they seem to convert really well.

I look forward to seeing what they have to say about this honestly, there literally has to be some other mitigating factor, in the meantime maybe if this is a personal referral you can have them sign up on another Cake skin?

I talked to her, she was no help and just said "sorry" over and over like she was a 15 year old girl who just kissed her girlfriend's boyfriend at their makeout party. Don't waste your time. Cake is good, Stars is good, and a few other are pretty good, Doyles is a waste.

Also, this wasn't a personal referral, just a random person who signed up through my site.

I'm sure comments like that won't get you very much help, and certainly tests my "we don't delete stuff like this" comment. This is a business forum, please act like it.

One thing that comes to mind is people with an existing account who are shopping for rakeback, great example is Full Tilt - probably 30% of my registration form fillouts or "rakeback signups" were really just people who found out about rakeback after playing, and go around filling in signup forms hoping they will magically get it. Do you think it could be something like that? I wonder if the AM would tell you the date of their signup compared to the date of yours?

Dumb question - if it was just a random signup through your website how do you know they used the code? Maybe I missed something, but I'm still trying to figure out if that is 100% certain (that they did) and why it didn't track if that is the case. If you can keep your comments civil I'm guessing this thread ends up helpful.
I always send a confirmation email when a player signs up for rakeback, at which point they told me they used the promo code.

What was wrong with my second post, I am trying to paint a picture for anyone else who runs into them. Whether it is Cake's network or just Doyles Room, not being able to manage how cookies or codes track is ridiculous. What did the internet just come out this year for them?

I missed something on your OP so I edited my last post, but the part that was wrong with your post is pretty obvious.

    [10:58:40 AM] Marcela: I'm sorry

    is he tracked for rakeback?
[10:59:19 AM] Marcela: with the other affiliate?
yes because he is supposed to be rakeback under my account and i spoke to him via email

    [11:00:37 AM] Marcela: sorry jonathan
    [11:00:41 AM] Marcela: this happens

and then you said DECEMBER 1st WE SWITCH TO LAST COOKIE
    your damn words

[11:09:25 AM] Marcela: the whole idea of that thread was to find out what works better
[11:09:32 AM] Marcela: and we are implementing as we go
    [11:09:36 AM] Marcela: sorry

What does that look like to you? To me it looks like "We don't know what we are doing, what happens with our tracking, or how to handle it when it fails."

It was the same day, they told me they made their first deposit and signed up a few days ago.

I was speaking more as a whole. Their AM that I have dealt with is great.
