Default When Does Google Become Skynet?

The Raw Story | Google wants to buy, sell electricity in US

I appreciate that Google gives me lucrative oppurtunities in life, but at one point will someone organize an anti-trust suit against them I often wonder? Considering the privacy concerns the new Google is bringing to the table, and crossing over into so many other markets (like this one they infer to), I just don't get it.

I think Google is spreading themselves out too quickly into multiple market segments. They do a few things really well, but they've gotten their hands into so many different industries now that they're producing a number of products that are weak compared to competitors.

Was watching G4 and they were talking about some electronic device they created that doesn't really impress.

I tried out their Google Ad Manager system and found it horribly designed and just a real mess.

    Less is more sometimes Google........

Google lost my confidence when they gave millions to Obama and got in bed with GE - To me this all could be a bad move IMO

The whole skynet thing started with the GE "smart modules" which are still in beta, these modules will control most of your house, heat, fridge, etc. Really "big brother" type stuff

Google and PokerStars could team up and take over the world imo

Anyone think Full Tilt could get away with having the presence in Las Vegas that PokerStars does. I mean airport banners, billboards etc. I have a feeling not, but could be wrong.

In Thailand Full Tilt Poker is blocked by the government so need a proxy to access it, PokerStars is one of the fastest loading sites and I can play on it from sticks with less lag then elsewhere. Wonder why its not blocked the same.

Now I see PokerStars gear all over through brand placement in movies. It reminds me of Google a lot.

If a clever enough plan to take over the world existed. Put PokerStars/Google together I think they'd accomplish it.

Is it wiki spam or did PokerStars actually first come online September 11, 2001? I've noticed that for a while and wondered about it.

In any case, I do predict September 4 is a national holiday, and the don't be evil campaign somehow tied to the Sunday Millions, which during all businesses must be closed (it's just a matter of time).
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

Full Tilt has a much higher presence in the US. They even have a multi-season TV show.

Terrence Chan announced it was open to the public that morning on RGP. Not exactly the best day to open a business.

Another reason I would not buy the new Google phone.

Who is to say they wouldn't monitor your phone activity and conatctas like they "monitor" everything else.

Call me naive but would never suspect Apple of "monitoring" by iPhone under the guise of some "app" or "analytics" service or feature.

Ok, I don't watch TV so as I mentioned I could be wrong and perhaps anyone could get away with the same. I don't see Full Tilt product placements in movies and such the same I do Stars and in Vegas I always notice Stars, Stars, Stars and can't recall seeing to many Full Tilt ads.

Still with Stars global presence, I still think them and Google are capable of taking over the world

Large companies dominating their market is nothing exactly new. Take MSFT as an example, it is still there and strong. I suppose what is driving big G is that they want to maintain their growth rate,..., and obviously they have to expand into new markets. And they can, given (1) their bank account (ii) their technology know how.
