    Default Tracking Clicks To Pokerstars

The stars affiliate program doesn't currently track clicks. I was wondering if anyone had an effective way of tracking clicks to pokerstars?

Does anyone use this? WordPress › Redirection WordPress Plugins

I currently use a .php redirect for my affiliate links, can i do anything with this to make it trackable?

We use get Clicky to track outbounds and then work backwards to see how the visitors found us and which pages they visited before exiting... similar to GA 'goals' just more of them and different reports... it is not perfect by any means but certainly gets the job done - starts at $60 for 10 sites.

Probably many other tools doing a similar job so might be worth comparing first.

Do you use GA? If so, you can track your outgoing links by adding a little piece of code to the link.

How do I manually track clicks on outbound links? - Analytics Help

Just set up your link the way it's setup on the above google help page and it will show in your analytics. Where it says "/outgoing/example.com", you can make that as deep as you like with as many variables as you want to put in there. (i.e. /outgoing/sidebar/pokerstars.com, /go/textlink/1/absolutepoker.net, etc)

    Hope this helps.

Haha just read that article myself after googling it. Will it mean editing all of my current links to pokerstars or can i somehow get them all at once?

Unfortunately, using this method, you will need to edit all of your links seperatly.

EDIT: I should've paid more attention to your first post in this thread. Yes, there are wordpress plugins that will do this but I'm not sure how they work with php redirects. The ones that I have used simply look for all links to a domain other than your own to add the code to, this wouldn't work if your redirect folder is in the same domain. Someone may have come up with a better solution, though.

Could you elaborate on how the ".php redirect" works?

I don't want so suggest something that won't work

I made the assumption that it uses a "Header: Location "; type of statement, not sure how else to do it with php.
