Default Using Both .com and .net for Your Website?

I am curious if anyone uses both the .com and the .net or .org versions of their domains or just redirect them to the .com version?

I was debating using the .com version of one of my domains for the main website and then using the .net version for a blog.

Just wondering if anything actively uses 2 extensions for a website actively and what they use it for.

    My 2 cents:
By order of value, com is better, than org and net. So typically say you want to register my pokerpants.com and it is taken, so you check the org or net. This is how you get to see non .com poker sites, otherwise everyone wants the com.
Now having both com and net; typically say you have the domain poker.com; now you want also the org net info etc, because the domain itself is a major keyword; look at rakeback for example; in such a case you want all possible extensions; of think pokerstars; or google; etc.
Bottom like in your case, one domain is enough.

I posted similar question (thread got lost / ignored amongst other posts I think)

using .com as main site but got .co.uk & .net also - so do redirects ? or setup a landing page with links to various of own sites ?

didnt want to hijack your thread - but I dont think we are the only ones with this sort of dilema for best use of extensions

personally for the moment I think Ive decided to just redirect all of them to the .com and lose the possibility of also promoting the other non brand sites but avoid confusion

on the blog front - maybe get yoursitenameblog.com that way its clear when they are on the blog of your "brand" ... otherwise using the .net or whatever IMHO may make people think that is your total site and it might be a much smaller site diluting your brand

    cheers SB
