WARNING over wp plugin

Since November and most of December i was ranking 2nd for a great bonus term on a well know site. Things were looking good and players were flying in.

Towards the end of last year traffic was down and the sites home page went from 2nd place to about 3rd page on the serps. It kept getting worse and i looked in to it and asked google about it, no answer yet though.

Today i decided to look again as i couldn't se anything i had done wrong that could justify a penalty or anything.

I check how google see my site in webmaster tools (which i should have done in December) and saw a load of keywords and links after the body tag for porn sites!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ONLY thing that could have brought this was a translator plugin i tried to use, that didnt work anyway.

I'm sorry i cant remeber the exact name of as i got the site down straight away. I am looking through my pc now.

Without trying to scaremonger it could have been itranslate or global-translator

Just a word of caution incase you have seen anything happening to you or were considering trying any different translator plugins.

what's the point of those on-the-fly translator plugins? they translate rubbish content, so even if it generates more search traffic, does the visitor stay on the site and signup?

btw if you remove those hidden spammy links you should go back up in the serps. i had the same thing happen to a hacked wordpress blog.

I know there a bit rubbish but it's a big site for europeans, so figured it was better to have than not.

Don't know for sure but Everest is pretty big among european players. The poker room supports English, German, Swedish, Danish, Italian, Norwegian, French, Japanese, Dutch, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese, Chinese, Korean and Japanese.

Although not 100%, when i put the plugin in the sidebar using a widget, it didn't work and acted strange, I'm pretty sure thats what it was.

I've also found a bit more info searching on google, I'll find the exact thing and post it here.
