Radio Show Tonight 1-21-10

Hey guys,

As promised, we are planning a radio show for this evening at 8:00 - 9:00 EST. We will be discussing innovation in a saturated market, LAC, industry chatter, and of course the new RushPoker on FT.

Just listened to the replay - great show as always gentlemen, thanks for making the effort - spot on with the innovation comments. Shipped a extra $100 to the Stars Haiti fund as pledged.

BTW that idea about media buys was really interesting but aren't there some issues with it...

Do you go CPA or Rev Share?

As an affiliate I feel CPA would be more profitable but even if you get 100 players you might only get 10 who ever deposit and meet the CPA requirements? Plus the room you send them to might not be too pleased about the low quality traffic you send them?

Rev share is obv better for the rooms and kinda more fair but much less attractive from an affiliates point of view.

The time off did you guys well. Excellent show guys. Both in terms of content covered and also the technical things like the volume settings were right on the money. Whatever settings you used it sounded about perfect, no one was way louder than the others etc...

That's because Brandon and I were both using iPhones lol. Last night's show was a quick hour. We had a lot of good stuff to talk about and really opened up some great new topics that we can discuss more here on the forums (the entire point of doing ALR).

Great question, and we should have covered it last night. I personally would have taken the CPA side on this one, regarding media buys. The reason is because these are usually non-traditional or newer players that just wont be playing a lot at first.

Just like PPC campaigns, it's essential to have some sort of formula that shows cost vs earning over a short time period. This is so you can make the right decision to continue the campaign or move somewhere else. Testing!

Now for a product like Rush Poker, I'd take the MGR because people are going to be playing a LOT of hands and it's really addictive. That's an exception to the rule above.
