Default FTP affiliate hell, or how to comply with taxes from FTP payments

    Hi all,

I´m becoming insane with the FTP affiliate support. Please let me explain our case.

We are a legal stablished company in our country that every month generate 5-figure commissions at FTP.

To comply with the local tax system, we need to make an invoice or receipt for every penny we won.

So, the normal behavior, is to ask our affiliate manager for the legal company info that sends the payments. Never had a problem before, never until FTP.

Basically, their affiliate support people, denies to provide any company info. They argue that they are not responsible for affiliate paying taxes (obviously), but they cannot put problems on affiliates that want to pay them. This is insane.

We simply cannot have 5-figure number deposits every month coming from nowhere.

So, after all this insanity... my question is... how do you do with FTP payments?

    Thanks in advance, Simon.

In the US, companies normally issue 1099s for affiliates, which are reported to the IRS (US Tax deparment), but companies outside of the US are not obligated to notify the IRS of any earnings. Taxes are based on the honor system, especially when there is no documentation of the income. I don't think it's out of the ordinary for poker sites to NOT issue any tax statements to their affiliates. I don't believe that they are legally obligated to do this.
